Day 1 (D)

Paro Arrival - Thimphu 

Meet and greet in Paro International Airport, we will transfer to Bhutan capital and largest city of Thimphu. Upon arrival we will visit Tashichhodzong (closed at 5 pm), “the fortress of the glorious religion” with amazing Bhutanese architectural design. We will transfer to Thimphu. Upon arrival check into hotel.

Day 2  (B/D)

Thimphu Day Tour

After breakfast we will visit Tashichho Dzong a fortress built in 1641. We proceed to Takin Preserve which house the rare goat family a mix between a goat and cow. Try a Bhutanese sport; the archery. We then will visit the Centenary Farmers' Market (open Wed-Sun) which is a great opportunity to get to know the local people.

Day 3 (B/D)

Thimphu - Punakha ( 73 KM, 4 Hours)

After a good breakfast, we will do some sight-seeing in Thimphu before heaving to Punakha. First we will head to Buddha Dordenma /Kuenselphodrang: This massive Buddha statue is 51.5 meters in heigh tmade of bronze and is gilded in gold. Following we will visit National Memorial Chorten (Stupa) which is very connected to the "Buddha's Mind". We drive to Punakha via Dochula pass and stop for refreshment at the scenic cafe. Our lunch will be in Lobesa Village. From the village we will visit the most popular "Fertility Temple" or Chimi Lhakhang. We proceed to walk across the cantilever bridge to visit Punakha Dzong for a visit. A short walk from here we can experience walking on the longest suspension bridge.

Day 4 (B/D)

Punakha - Gangtey - Phobjikha Valley  (72 KM, 2 Hrs 30 Min)

This morning we will drive to visit Phobjikha Valley and visit black-necked Crane Information Centre, situated on the edge of the forest and wetland for some bird watching. Next we will  visit Gangtey Monastery. Perched atop a small hill that overlooks almost the entire Phobjikha Valley. Next you may test your archery skills and try to hit the bullseye with a traditional bow and arrow in famous Bhutaness past time favorite game.

Day 5 (B/D)

Gangtey - Paro (171 KM, 5 Hrs)

This morning, we will drive back to Paro and enroute we will drop by Wangdue Phodrang Dzong was in Wangdue Phodrang town in Central Bhutan. Visiting Wangduephodrang Dzong, you will be amazed by its vast size, grandeur, and intricate beauty. The detailed architecture and art are truly impressive, deepening your appreciation for these structures and the sacred relics they house. Upon arrival in Paro we will visit Dumgtseg Lhakhang (1421) in the form of a chorten which is very rare in Bhutan. The ground floor houses statues of various forms of Buddhas, Avalokiteshvara, Guru Rinpoche, and Thangtong Gyelpo. The second floor features depictions of Mahakala on the outer wall and hundreds of deities and Bardo (the state between death and rebirth) on the interior wall. The third floor showcases Tantric deities, Guhyasamaja, Vajrabhairava, Cakrasamvara, Hevajra, Kalacakra, Vajravarahi and Mahamaya.

Day 6 (B/D)

Paro - Tiger Nest Trek

In the morning we will visit Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Paro Taktsang Monastery was built in 1693 by Guru Rinpoche. Guests may order to light up a butter lamb and the payment goes directly to the monastery. The evening guests may enjoy some shopping time!

Day 7 (B)

Bye Bye Bhutan

After breakfast, free and easy until transfer to airport for your flight home.
